Travel Itinerary

DAY 1

Amman Airport – Madaba Hotel

Meet and assist at Amman Airport. Transfer to Madaba hotel for free time at leisure and relaxing.

DAY 2

Madaba - Mount Nebo – Kerak Castle - Dana Hotel

Breakfast at Madaba hotel. Transfer to Madaba – the major highlight is the Greek Orthodox Basilica of St. George or the Church of the Map that portrays the old Holy Land with 2 Million pieces of mosaic. Your next destination is Mount Nebo – believed to be the site of the Tomb of Moses. Transfer to Kerak Castle – One of the largest crusader fortress built in1140’s under Pagan and Fulk king of Jerusalem where it was called Crac des Moabites or “Karak in Moab”. Then transfer to Dana hotel for overnight.

DAY 3

Dana Reserve Hiking - Shoback Castle - Petra Hotel

Breakfast at Dana hotel. Dana Reserve Hiking (Basateen Area) – Dana is Jordan’s largest nature reserve, covering some 320 square kilometers of spectacular mountains and wadis along the face of the Great Rift Valley. From scorching sand dunes in the west to cool mountain tops in the east, the Dana Biosphere Reserve is home to a great variety of wildlife. Transfer to Shoback Castle – a Crusader Castle Built in 1115 as the First of many fortifications built beyond the Jordan by Baldwin I the King of Jerusalem to guard the road from Egypt to Damascus. Transfer to Petra hotel for overnight. (B) Day 4: Petra Visit – Petra HotelBreakfast at Petra hotel. Visit Petra – also known as the ‘Pink-Rose City’, the city that the Nabateans carved out of solid rock dating back to 300 BC. A guided walk through the ruins of Petra, walk through a passage the Siq, see the Treasury Building (Al-Khazneh), the Roman Theatre, Corinthian tomb, Palace of Pharos’s Daughter, the Carved Roman Theater and the Royal Courts. Then back to Petra hotel for overnight.

DAY 4

Petra Visit - Petra Hotel

Breakfast at Petra hotel. Visit Petra – also known as the ‘Pink-Rose City’, the city that the Nabateans carved out of solid rock dating back to 300 BC. A guided walk through the ruins of Petra, walk through a passage the Siq, see the Treasury Building (Al-Khazneh), the Roman Theatre, Corinthian tomb, Palace of Pharos’s Daughter, the Carved Roman Theater and the Royal Courts. Then back to Petra hotel for overnight.

DAY 5

Little Petra - Wadi Rum Visit – Wadi Rum Camp

Breakfast at Petra hotel. Transfer to Little Petra – also known as Cold Canyon, established and carved in the rock in the 1st century AD for religious purposes and to be as a rest-place for the caravans of the traders’ road that were not allowed to enter the “Holy City” of Petra! Transfer to Wadi Rum – A moonscape of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains. You will enjoy a 2 hour jeep tour and visit the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Al Khaz’aly, Lawrence Jail, sun-set area. Transfer to Wadi Rum Camp for overnight.

DAY 6

Wadi Rum Visit - Aqaba Panoramic Tour – Aqaba Hotel

Breakfast at Wadi Rum Camp. Transfer to Aqaba for Panoramic Tour (Outside Castle) – The solo Port of Jordan at the northern tip of Red Sea, Aqaba also very famous with its crystal clear water at sandy beaches, and coral reefs. Transfer to Aqaba hotel for overnight.

DAY 7

Aqaba Hotel - Dead Sea Hotel

Breakfast at Aqaba. Transfer to Dead Sea for free time at leisure for swimming and relax. Overnight in Dead Sea hotel.

DAY 8

Desert Castles - Amman City Tour - Amman Hotel

Breakfast at Dead Sea Hotel. Visit the Desert Castles (Azraq, Kharaneh & Amra) – The Ummayad Hunt-castles of the early Islamic era, built mostly in the Seventh century as Caliphs needed an escape from pressures of economic and political city-concerns. Transfer to Amman for City Tour – Amman is the capital of Jordan which was founded 7000 years ago, the Human civilized occupation continued through the Greco Roman era over Seven Mountains reaching nowadays over more than 20 mountains. Transfer to Amman hotel for overnight.

DAY 9

Jerash - Ajloun Castle – Um Qeis – Amman Hotel

Breakfast at Amman hotel. Transfer to Jerash – one of the Decapolis “the Famous 10 Greco-Roman Cities” Jerash is the best preserved example of Roman Civilization in Jordan. Then transfer to Ajloun Castle – built by the nephew of Salah-el-Din al Ayyubi (Saladin) Its dominating position allowed an extra ordinarily wide vantage over the surrounding lands, affording protection against the Crusader forces. Transfer to Um Qeis – Ancient Roman “Gadara” looks at the Lake Tiberius, one of the Decapolis “the Famous 10 Greco-Roman Cities”. Return to Amman hotel for overnight.

DAY 10

Amman Hotel - Amman Airport Departure

Breakfast at Amman Hotel. Free time for leisure and relaxing then transfer to Amman Airport for departure to your next destination.
