Travel Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival at Panama City
Arrival at Tocumen International Airport, where you will be greeted and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Panama City.
DAY 2
Panama City and Canal Tour
This morning you will see the original ruins of Panama and the colonial city that replaced them in the 17th century. You will also visit the Museum of the InterOceanic Canal that tells the story of the construction of the canal from start to finish. Take a break from touring for a lunch at Amador or Casco Antiguo. The final stop but by far the most amazing will be at the Miraflores Locks where you will experience the operation of the Panama Canal firsthand. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Panama City.
DAY 3
Portobelo and Isla Grande
After breakfast, you will head to Isla Grande. On the way visit Portobelo, contemplate its beautiful landscape and learn some of its history. You will continue your trip to Isla Grande. The remainder of the afternoon will be free to walk the small town of fishermen. Overnight in a hotel on Isla Grande.
DAY 4
Isla Grande
Breakfast at the hotel and depart aboard a boat for a trip through the swamps until you arrive at Isla Mamey or Drake Island for a splendid morning of sun and beach. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach or the pool of the hotel. Overnight in a hotel on Isla Grande.
DAY 5
Isla Grande / Gamboa
After breakfast, you will continue with your tour and head back to the mainland and head towards Gamboa. Arrive at the small town of Gamboa and the Rainforest Resort. Accommodations in one of the historical villas. In the afternoon, take a boat ride of the area. Overnight at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort.
DAY 6
Indigenous Community Embera
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the indigenous community in the Chagres National Park. Visit the community, learn about their native dances and gather information about their history and way of life. Lunch with the natives and optional refreshing swim in the river. Return to Gamboa. Evening is at leisure. Overnight at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort.
DAY 7
The Valley in the Crater of a Volcano
Depart for El Valle de Anton. Upon arrival visit a Butterfly farm. Evening is leisure time. Overnight in a hotel in El Valle de Anton.
DAY 8
The Valley in the Crater of a Volcano / Santiago
After breakfast, visit the thermal pools, the El Macho Waterfall and the petroglyphs. Departure from the hotel and continue the trip towards Natá in Coclé Province, the El Caño Archaeological Park. Continue to Santiago. Arrival and accommodation in a hotel in Santiago.
DAY 9
Santiago / Boquete
Breakfast at the hotel and continue the trip towards Chiriqui Province. Boquete is a beautiful town surrounded by coffee plantations and flower gardens. It is an active town, since many of its residents have chosen it as a place to retire. Outing in the town of Boquete. Overnight in a hotel in the town of Boquete.
DAY 10
Boquete
Breakfast in the hotel and tour of the coffee plantations. The remainder of the day is free. Overnight in a hotel in the town of Boquete.
DAY 11
Boquete / Volcano / Bambito
After breakfast, depart towards Sitio Barriles on the outskirts of Volcano Barú. Here is a thematic park’ that will take you to an encounter with the past. Overnight.
DAY 12
Bambito / Bocas del Toro
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a crossing of a mountain range on the way to Bocas del Toro. After this journey, you will arrive at Almirante. Here you will embark towards Colon Island in Bocas del Toro. The remainder of the day is free. Overnight in a hotel at Bocas del Toro.
DAY 13
Bocas del Toro
Breakfast and departure to the dock, all day tour to either Cayo Coral, Starfish Beach or the Bay of Dolphins, depending on the weather. Return to Isla Colon, in the afternoon. Evening is leisure time. Overnight in a hotel at Bocas del Toro.
DAY 14
Bocas del Toro
Breakfast and “aquatic” tour of Bastimentos Marine Park. Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight in a hotel at Bocas del Toro.
DAY 15
Bocas del Toro / David / Playa Blanca
Breakfast and depart for David. Tour of the city. Optional Local Brewery Tour, and bar. Time for lunch. Continue trip towards Playa Blanca. Arrival at Playa Blanca and check-in at the hotel.
DAY 16/17
Beach Playa Blanca
Enjoy two days of sun and beach with an “All inclusive” Plan. Overnight in the hotel at Playa Blanca.
DAY 18
Playa Blanca / Panama City / International Airport
Depending on your departure time, representative will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to International Airport.
